Note: 25mm diameter stainless steel tube with a 2mm wall thickness isn’t typically
available in-store at Epicentr. For this reason, 25mm diameter anodized aluminum tube
with a 2mm wall thickness was used in testing the prototype, but is not recommended
because the aluminum can bend and warp from firing the IAD. Stainless steel tube with
a 1.5mm wall thickness was also used in testing the prototype and is available in-store
at Epicentr, and can be used by applying more cold weld epoxy to reduce the clearance
between the tube and the shotgun shell.

Note: The link above is for a M8 x 180mm eye bolt because Epicentr doesn’t list their
M8 x 160mm eye bolt on the website. An M8 x 160mm, galvanized steel eye bolt is
available in-store at Epicentr. Longer eye bolts can be purchased and cut to size. The
strongest grade of steel eye bolts should be used since this bolt will become the firing
pin.

Note: Buying the second ball valve just to use the handle from it as the foregrip is a
considerable percentage of the total cost of building an IAD. Money can be saved by
using an alternative handle for the foregrip and not buying a second expensive ball
valve.
